Awesome! Looks so peaceful.
Thanks very much for the blog and the photos. She is still a grand ship.
Thank you. Bittersweet that she looks so much better in the open sea than chained to the pier at PSNS
What outstanding images. Thanks!
Serene. Great picture.
Sad to see her this way.
Love the photos! Thanks! I also would like to thank you for showing her the respect she deserves. Some people are tracking her here. Others are using other marine trackers. Will be in Brownsville to see her one last time.
Spent 2.5 years on her in 1974-1976 in my late teens, sad to see her go. My god shine on all the served on her.

I was a member of Connie’s first crew. Was assigned to her in June 1961, she was commissioned in October at Brooklyn, NY. Assigned to Pacific in ’62, which required trip south, “around the Horn”, then north to San Diego, new home port. We stopped at Virgin Islands, Port of Spain, Trinidad, Rio, Valparaiso, Balboa, Acapulco
My dad was on the Connie in 1961 through 1964. I know this is breaking his heart. The pics are beautiful. I would love to take him to say goodbye in TX.
